1. Take their online test

Questions are easy. However, be aware of your grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. If you are unsure of your sentences, you may want to try grammarly.com

2. Once you pass their exam, you will receive an email and a link will be given to you.

I suggest that you do not click the link yet but go online and practice typing. Try to type at least 35-45 words in 1 minute (sixty seconds). Once you are familiar with your keyboard and can type with speed, click their given link.

3. After typing, you will be given a transcriptionist test

It takes about 20-25 minutes. Make sure you have a headset and an internet connection (wireless or not is still good). Listen carefully on the audio as you may encounter slang words, or sometimes words that really cannot be understood. Try to hear the last word and Google it. If you are unsure, search. Exploring the web will help you. You may also run into different voices, which means there is more than one person in the audio. Be attentive so you will recognize the difference of the voice (particularly 2 men and 1 woman who are talking). Take your time transcribing, there is no time limit. But I suggest that you take the transcription test if you have lots of hours in a day. I finished my transcriptionist test after 4 hours. So I guess that gives you a hint of how long it can take.

4. When you hit submit, wait for their reply.

They will give you information if you pass or not. Just in case you did not pass, you may reapply after 45 days.

When you want to re-apply you may like to choose other job positions, like captioner, subtitler, and translator. When you pass their given test, you will receive an email that you are approved to be in Rev.com Everything is in there and choose projects that you want to transcribe.

Enjoy transcribing everyone! =)
